Our Dutch Shepherds
The Girls!
Dutch Shepherds where originally bred for herding sheep and livestock on the farm! Their gait is more of a float to watch across the ground. They are more commonly used today by Military and Police services for scent detection, search and rescue. The Dutch is not a recognized breed by the Canadian Kennel Club but it is how ever by the AKC. The Continental Kennel Club also does Recognize the Dutch Shepard. The AKC approved the standard in January 11, 2016 The males are to be 22 1/2 -24 1/2 inches in height and females 21 1/2 23 1/2 in height at the withers. The average weight is 50-70 pounds. The loyalty and the trainability of these dogs is amazing! These dogs when bred properly will have great drive for both drive and food. The Dutch Shepherd is a working breed that needs a job along side of physical and mental stimulation. Many sports are a great avenue for working line Dutch shepherds.
Raketa
All through the Dutch Shepherd is well known for its protection ability and outstanding functionality in the military and police force. Our main focus for our breeding program, is to bring the breed back to more the the farm utility and herding aspect that the breeds original purpose was. That being said with our bloodlines we have the ability to produce both aspects of the breed. The versatility in this breed continues to blow my mind. Theres not much these amazing dogs cant do!
This is Stings son Bronn! His family came to see him grow every single week from the time the puppies were born!
